Dr. Hudson strives to incorporate conversations about mental health into every visit with her clients in order to encompass a truly holistic approach. We are learning more and more about how our physical and mental systems are intertwined; that is why Dr. Hudson seeks to discover each person’s individual needs as it comes to healing the mind and body together. If you struggle with any of the following issues, and are looking for an approach that goes beyond pharmaceuticals, Naturopathic Medicine could be a good next step for you.

Examples of Mental Health concerns:

  • Anxiety symptoms (social anxiety or generalized anxiety)

  • Worry/overthinking

  • Intrusive or disturbing thoughts

  • Past trauma

  • Depression symptoms

  • Memory issues

  • Attention issues

  • Difficult life adjustments

  • Chronic health conditions

  • Post partum anxiety or depression

 

Please note, Dr. Hudson is not against medication for mental health issues as it can be an incredible tool for some and in fact, life saving more many. You can work on improving your mental health by using Naturopathic means AND still benefit from medication. These two things do not have to mutually exclusive. Dr. Hudson is a provisionally licensed professional counselor and utilizes her skills as a therapist in her visits. However, if you are looking for weekly counseling, this is not the appropriate venue. Dr. Hudson, does have many resources to help you find a counselor that is a good fit for you. Do not call for an appointment if you are having an urgent mental health crisis. If you are having suicidal thoughts, please call 911 or go your your nearest emergency room right away to seek immediate care.
